The idea behind MOVA 600
Robot mowers take different approaches to navigation. Some use perimeter wire; others combine sensors, mapping and planned routes. The MOVA 600 is part of the wire-free group.
MOVA describes its UltraView environmental sensing system as using 3D LiDAR, with app-based mowing zones and no-go areas. Wire-free does not mean setup-free: the owner still needs to establish the working area and check the layout against the installation instructions.

The following are manufacturer-listed figures from the MOVA Australia product page, checked 21 September 2026. They are not Robotico measurements.

Capacity and daily coverage are different specifications. The 1,000m²/24h efficient-mode claim does not change the recommended lawn capacity of 600m². Coverage is not a single-charge runtime figure. Actual results depend on conditions, layout, settings and charging stops.
The slope figure is a manufacturer limit, not a finding that every 24-degree garden is suitable. The mower’s IPX6 rating should not be assumed to apply to the charging station or power supply.
Why it is interesting
The attraction is the combination of LiDAR, wire-free setup, virtual boundaries and planned mowing. It could reduce the work associated with perimeter-wire installation.
For a homeowner with a lawn around 500–600m², this makes the MOVA 600 worth investigating. Robotico has not yet established how much installation time or routine intervention it saves.
A smaller lawn can still be complicated
A 600m² lawn can contain narrow passages, garden beds, trees, furniture, slopes, pets, children’s toys and irregular boundaries.
The important question is whether the mower can navigate that particular layout reliably. A LiDAR specification alone does not establish obstacle-detection reliability or safety around animals and children. Follow the product’s operating instructions and keep the mowing area clear.
Who might consider it?
The MOVA 600 may interest homeowners with lawns at or below its recommended capacity who prefer virtual boundaries and app-controlled mowing.
A complex layout should be treated as something to check carefully, rather than a reason to assume the mower will be suitable. For larger properties, compare the recommended capacity of other models as well as their installation requirements.

- Edge coverage and remaining manual trimming
- Obstacle detection using controlled, non-living test objects
- Cutting consistency and slope performance within the manual’s limits
- Actual coverage, charging stops and interventions

Robotico’s view
The MOVA 600 illustrates the move toward sensor-guided outdoor automation. The goal is to let an owner define the working area while the machine handles more of the routine navigation.
That is a useful direction, but specifications cannot establish whether a particular mower will work reliably in an individual garden. For now, the MOVA 600 is a research candidate rather than a tested Robotico recommendation.
